Important Notice

Due to the continuing uncertainty caused by CV-19 we have taken the decision to down-scale this year’s planned 3-day Planning Research Conference to a more compact 2-day symposium, to take place at UCL on Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th September – travel and social distancing restrictions permitting. We intend to make a final decision on whether the symposium will go ahead on Friday 7th August.

Although smaller in scale, we intend to offer as full a menu of plenaries, track / break-out sessions, mobile workshops as well as we can. A social event and dinner will take place on the Tuesday evening.

UK-Ireland Planning Research Conference 2020

The Bartlett School of Planning, UCL will host the 2020 UK-Ireland Planning Research Conference in London, between 8-9 September 2020. The theme will be ‘Good Cities, Better Lives‘, the title of Professor Sir Peter Hall’s final book from 2014, and an appropriate goal for the research and reflections on planning practice to be discussed at this conference.
